N.B.
Between 1995-1998, I have focused large part of my efforts in the organization and production of a series of major textbooks (6) in Neurotoxicology,Toxicology, and Risk Assessment (see Section on “Books & Book Chapters”). These textbooks have become important and major reference sources for toxicologists world wide.
Since 1999, I have made a major change in my career
and become the Founding Director of the Division of Environmental
Health and Occupational Medicine (DEHOM) at the National Healt
Research Institutes (NHRI), a major governmental research
organization in Taiwan. Since then, I have devoted most of my time
and effort, as a scientist-administrator, in the development and
management of the Division. My change of “focus”and career
development at these time periods required a sacrifice on my own
research activities and publication productivity. Thus an apparent
“drop” in publications can be noted between 2000 – 2004. However,
I am happy that, in lieu of “personal research publications”, I
have the opportunity to contribute to the scientific world in a different
way: in producing a series of important texts to the field of
toxicology(esp. neurotoxicology) and in helping the Taiwan government
to establish a research institute on Environmental Health &
Occupational Medicine, which is very much needed in Taiwan.
Since 2004, I have retired from the Directorship and administrative
duties in DEHOM and “re-activated” my research. New scientific
activities and productivity have resumed again in my laboratory.
These changes are representatively reflected in the amount of research
publications and manuscripts generated as listed below.
