Protein structure, cellular metabolism, and molecular mechanisms of cancer

Research Interests

My research focuses on elucidating how cancer cells reprogram metabolism and organelle dynamics to adapt to cellular stress. By integrating structural biology, cancer metabolism, and molecular and cellular biology, my laboratory investigates the mechanisms underlying cancer progression at the protein and subcellular organelle levels, including mitochondria and lipid droplets. We combine protein structural analysis, fluorescence microscopy, cellular functional assays, and multi-omics approaches to uncover how disease-associated proteins and molecular interactions regulate cancer cell survival and vulnerabilities. Ultimately, our goal is to translate these mechanistic insights into structure-guided strategies for cancer targeting and therapeutic development, thereby identifying novel molecular targets and opportunities for precision cancer intervention.
